Trailer for the new Macross Delta film and Macross Frontier short film

The well-known Macross franchise is expanding with new productions of which new promotional videos have been unveiled that you will find immediately below.

The new productions that mix idol and mecha battles, ready to reach the big Japanese screens are the film Gekijōban Macross Delta: Zettai LIVE!!!!!! and the short film Macross Frontier Film Short: Labyrinth of Time.

The Macross Delta series features the Idol Walkure unit battle with the Yami_Q_ray music unit, with the video also featuring veteran pilot Max. The poster features the phrase "Song Battle for the Galaxy" - a reference to the annual Kohaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle) and similar singing competitions.

This is just one of the events linked to the 40th anniversary of the franchise, which also includes initiatives at the theaters, involvement of fans on the official website and music albums.

Born from the mind of Shoji Kawamori, director and author of most of the franchise's titles, including these two productions, the animations are produced at Satelight, studios of which Kawamori is a member.
