Long trailer for the anime Josee, The Tiger and the Fish by BONES


Released in Japanese theaters last week, the new anime from animation studios BONES titled Josee, the Tiger and the Fish comes with a new trailer.


The film's story centers on the relationship between Tsuneo and Josee. Tsuneo is a university student, and Josee is a young girl who has rarely gone out of the house by herself due to her being unable to walk. The two meet when Tsuneo finds Josee's grandmother taking her out for a morning walk.

Inspired by Seiko Tanabe's short story released in 1985 (which inspired a live-action film in 2003), the anime is titled Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi, and is directed by Kotaro Tamura and scripted by Sayaka Kuwamura, with Nao Emoto and Haruko Iizuka authors of the character design and animations, and with animations produced by the prestigious BONES studios.

After the Japanese theaters, the film is preparing to conquer other markets at the end of the month, starting in Taiwan on January 20th.
