BNA: Brand New Animal on Netflix worldwide in Summer

The new original anime produced by the Japanese studio Trigger (Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia), BNA: Brand New Animal, is registering good reviews. The worldwide distribution date has finally been announced.

As anticipated on our pages [news], distribution rights outside Japan were purchased from Netflix. Last weekend the official Twitter account of the anime announced the date on which the series will be available in all countries reached by the streaming service: June 30, 2020.

The story of BNA: Brand New Animal is set in the 21st century, years in which humanity discovered the existence of anthropomorphic animals. The protagonist is the young Michiru, a girl recently transformed into tanuki with semi-human features who therefore decides to move to Animal City, a town built to house all semi-humans. Here she will make new friends and will also find himself involved in dangerous matters concerning his transformation.

The director of the series is Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia), the screenwriter is Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill), original design by Genice Chan, character designer by Yusuke Yoshigaki (Space Patrol Luluco, Ninja Slayer From Animation), animation supervising by Naoki Takeda and original soundtrack composer mabanua.
