Jurassic World become an animated series for Netflix

Netflix has announced the production of a brand new animated series for 2020: Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, spin-off of a popular blockbuster film. Below the first teaser trailer.

And to realize this new original series will be the DreamWorks Animation studios with computer graphics animations that will mix action and adventure with a story set in the same years as the Jurassic World film chapters.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable to reach the outside world, they'll need to go from strangers to friends to family if they're going to survive.

Created and produced by Scott Kreamer (Pinky Malinky) and Lane Lueras (Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny ), the series will also have as executive producers Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Colin Trevorrow.

This is just the latest production of the long collaboration between DreamWorks Animation and Netflix, with 18 original animated series already produced. Agreement that was further extended with the entry of Universal Pictures, new owners of the DreamWorks studios, also owners of the Jurassic World francise and Fast & Furious franchise whose animated series is also in production.
