New clip from The Breadwinner


The beautiful movie The Breadwinner, international co-production directed by Nora Twomey, lands today in UK. Below a new clip extract from the movie.


The film is inspired by the best-selling book by Deborah Ellis published in 2002 that tells the intense story of Parvana, an eleven year old girl who lives in Kabul with her family whose life is upset by the arrival of the Taliban.

Dedicated to both young and adult audiences, it is produced by the Irish Cartoon Saloon, by the Canadian Aircraft Pictures, by the Luxemburg Mélusine and by the production company of Angelina Jolie, Jolie Pas. Completed last year, he moved from numerous festivals before coming to the theaters.

Among the many prizes collected by the film we remember an Annie Awards as Best Indipendent Film, 4 Canadian Screen Awards, an Audience Award at Leeds IFF, a LAFCA Award, a Young People's Jury Award at Toronto IFF, a TFCA Award, an ACTRA Awards, a Oscar and Golden Globes nominee and many more.

Today, May 25, the movie lands on UK's big screens distributed by Studiocanal. The movie will also be screened at the upcoming Italian Future Film Festival on May 31.
