A movie for Sonic the Hedgehog in 2019

Paramount Pictures finally communicate a release date for the movie of one of the iconic video games world Sonic the Hedgehog created by Sega.

After some animated series since 1993, Sonic is considered one of the icons of the video game world, with a franchise worth one billion dollars and over 140 million video games sold.

The character will therefore have its first starring role in the cinema after a small appearance in 2012 animated feature movie Wreck-It Ralph by Disney.

The film will mix live actions and animations and will be produced by Neal H. Moritz, with executive producer Tim Miller, the director of blockbuster Deadpool and one of the founders of the animation and special effects company Blur Studio.

Written by Patrick Casey and Josh Miller, the director of the movie is Jeff Fowler, director of one of the Blur Studio shorts movie.

Produced by Paramount Pictures, Original Film, Blur Studio and Marza Animation Planet, the film is currently titled Sonic the Hedgehog and, after some announces, is scheduled to arrive in US theaters on November 15, 2019.
