23 years old make an animated movie all by himself

Art has no age. We can well say that speaking of Gints Zilbalodis, a young 23 years artist who has decided to make an indie animated film all by himself. Below the first trailer.

Himself admits to having started the work on Away, this is the title of the movie, in 2015, deciding to concentrate the efforts on a portion of the film to test the techniques of realization and collect ideas.

First he created Oasis, a short animated movie make by himself and presented in some animated festivals.

"I learned a lot from that project", continues the author, "also going back on my steps to review and realize the segments of the short from scratch."

Away, currently in-progress, is created entirely in Maya, rendering everything through the playblasts view, with a 2D-like final effect, "which speeds up rendering time and makes it even easier to edit small details without getting lost in long processes" comments Gints.
