The Smurfs return with a new series and new adventures on Nickelodeon

The new animated series Smurfs Adventures is set to arrive on Nickelodeon. Details and the trailer below.

Smurfs Adventures is an animated series of new, standalone 22-minute episodes in which the Smurfs - small, friendly, blue-skinned creatures born from the imagination of Belgian artist Peyo in the 1950s - embark on great adventures far from their peaceful mushroom village in the forest.

In "The Great Magic Showdown", Papa Smurf is honored to be invited by the great Homnibus to take part, with other witches and wizards, in the creation of the philosopher’s stone. As he joins this prestigious council, a strange participant knocks on the door of Homnibus’ Castle: the magician Radicchio. Suspicious, Papa Smurf leads an inquiry into who this stranger really is...

A new production by Peyo Company, the French animation studios Blue Spirit (owned by Studio TF1), and the Belgian studio Dreamwall.

The series is scheduled to air in the US on Nickelodeon starting October 12.
