First trailer for the anime Red Riding Hood: A Detective Story

Expected next year, the TV anime Red Riding Hood: A Detective Story has revealed its first trailer.

The story follows Little Red Riding Hood, a girl living on the outskirts of the city. One day, she is forced to embark on a journey for a specific purpose. Strangely, however, she encounters a series of accidents along the way. Thanks to her innate curiosity and intelligence, Little Red Riding Hood sets out to solve each mystery.

Aito Aoyagi published the novel Akazukin, Tabi no Tochu de Shitai to Deau (literally Little Red Riding Hood Encounters a Corpse on Her Journey) internationally as Red Riding Hood: A Detective Story in August 2020, and was later adapted into a manga in 2023.

The anime is produced by Benten Film, written and directed by Itsuro Kawasaki (Baban Baban Ban Vampire, Cardfight!! Vanguard), with character designs by Manami Minakata and Yūko Yahiro, Izumi Hoki (Detective Conan: Zero's Tea Time) and Hiroshi Kato (Astro Boy 2023) serving as art directors.

Expected in January 2027 on Tokyo MX and other channels, here's the first trailer:
