Sneak peek for the fantasy anime The Fake Alchemist

From manga to anime. The first promo for The Fake Alchemist, a fantasy series that will likely arrive next year, has been presented.

Publisher Kadokawa has released the first information on the adaptation of the successful manga Nisemono no Renkinjutsushi (The Fake Alchemist) written by Jiro Sugiura and illustrated by Umemaru, published since 2023 and still ongoing.

Synopsis: In the city-state of Orichalconia, a world where alchemy and magic are deeply rooted in the lives of the people, the reincarnated Paracelsus ekes out a living as an alchemist while hiding his "cheat skills". However, his life changes dramatically one day after he enters into a contract with a shaman slave-girl, Nora, and later meets Coco, an elf who has lost all four limbs and five senses. To save Coco, what began as a rescue attempt in a small workshop gradually escalates into a battle involving alchemy and sorcery, space and even the gods themselves.

The anime is produced by Passione studios, with Takeo Takahashi (Wasteful Days of High School Girl) as chief director, Hijiri Sanpei (Yuri Is My Job!) as director, Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil) as scriptwriter, Yuka Takashina (Dance with Devils) as character designer, and Luke Standridge as music composer.
