First trailer for Ray Gunn - sci-fi and noir from master Brad Bird

Visionary director and author Brad Bird returns with one of his most ambitious projects: Ray Gunn. Watch the first original trailer below.

The story is set in Metropia, a gigantic city in an alternate future seen from 1939, where private investigator Raymond Gunn (voice of Sam Rockwell) becomes embroiled in a case involving aliens, a murder, and a multimedia star named Venus Nova (voice of Scarlett Johansson).

Created and directed by Brad Bird and written by Bird with Matthew Robbins, the film is produced by the director together with Lisa Beroud, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and John Lasseter. The studios that produced it are Skydance Animation, while the animation is handled by Cinesite studios.

Ray Gunn will be released in select theaters on December 4 and will then be available on Netflix on December 18.
