From Taiwan the fantasy-horror film Welcome to Dolly's House

The fantasy-horror feature film Welcome to Dolly's House will be released in time for Halloween in Taiwanese theaters, information and trailers for which can be found below.

Competing at the latest Annecy, the film Welcome to Dolly's House (orig. Huanyíng lái dào duo lì zhi jia) is directed by Seven YCH, Ray Fu, and Tree Liu and is inspired by a story from the book "Taiping Guangji" (The Great Collection of the Era of Great Peace), which contains stories written over a thousand years ago.

The story follows Princess Maria, a young YouTuber on the rise in search of fame and love. Her life spirals into a surreal nightmare when she stumbles upon a video of a runaway girl and is lured to a mysterious and disturbing mansion owned by Madame Dolly, a sorceress capable of transforming dolls into humans (or trapping humans in doll bodies).

The film, created using the 2D rotoscoping technique (drawing over live action), is produced in Taiwan by Deep Sky Object and is expected in theaters nationwide by Paramount on October 30.
