Mystery of Chang'an hits Chinese theaters this weekend

An ambitious feature film entirely made with CGI animation will be released this weekend in Chinese theaters. It's titled Mystery of Chang'an and you'll find information and a trailer below.

Originally known as Demon Agent, the feature film Mystery of Chang'an is directed by Cheng Teng (one of the co-directors of Jiang Ziya) and co-directed by Benjamin Huang, and is a period action fantasy, a very popular style in animated productions produced in China.

Chinese animated fantasy-detective movie directed by Cheng Teng. Set in a steampunk-inspired version of Chang'an during the Tang dynasty, the film follows a human detective and a wolf demon constable who team up to solve a bizarre murder case.

Produced by Light Chaser Animation (White Snake, Jiang Ziya), it was initially expected in domestic theaters in July but will not be released until August 22.
