Just Like Mona Lisa - What if everyone were born genderless?

In the fantasy world of the anime Just Like Mona Lisa, only after reaching the age of 12 do people's bodies transform and acquire their chosen gender.

Hinase, the main character who continues to live genderless.
Childhood friends Ritsu and Shiori, who have already chosen theirs.
What is "love"? What does it mean to have something you want to cherish above all else?
Their classmates and the adults around them struggle and hesitate alongside them, weaving the story together.
What choice will Hinase make?

In this world, when a person reaches 12 years of age, their body begins to change depending on the gender they wish to become. By 14, they'll complete their transition. And yet I alone, without any gender, approach my 18th spring.

Tsumuji Yoshimura's manga, titled Just Like Mona Lisa (originally Seibetsu "Mona Lisa" no Kimi e.), published from 2018 to 2022, is being adapted into a television anime produced by SHAFT and CyberAgent, with direction by Kana Shundo (Apocalypse Hotel), character design and art direction by Nobuhiro Sugiyama (Arakawa Under the Bridge), and music by Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia).
