Batman: Knightfall - Trailer and release date for the first film

The iconic Batman saga, Knightfall, comes to animation with a very intense trilogy of which the first film will arrive this summer.

The story, also cited in Christopher Nolan's stunning trilogy, arrives in animated, again produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, with the first film, Batman: Knightfall Part 1, directed by Jeff Wamester (Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths) and written by Jeremy Adams.

When the mysterious colossus known only as Bane frees Batman's entire rogues' gallery from Arkham Asylum, the Caped Crusader is pushed to his mental and physical limits.

The comic, published between 1993 and 1994, featured contributors such as Alan Grant, Doug Moench, Chuck Dixon, Dennis O'Neil, Peter David, Jo Duffy, Jim Aparo, Graham Nolan, Norm Breyfogle, and Jim Balent.

Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall will be available Digitally on August 25, followed by 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on September 8.
