The Unicorn That Said No hits German theaters on New Year's Eve

The local Warner Bros. Pictures office will bring the new family comedy The Unicorn That Said No to German theaters this New Year's Eve. Info and promo below.

The Unicorn Who Said No (orig. Das Neinhorn) is the title of the feature film made by Studio Soi (The Gruffalo, The Amazing World of Gumball), based on the book by Marc-Uwe Kling translated into 27 languages, which tells the story of a stubborn little creature who escapes from her overly sweet world by embarking on a rebellious journey, accompanied by her equally stubborn companions.

Official synopisis: Although everyone in Heartwood is incredibly sweet to him and constantly feeds him sugared clover, the little unicorn doesn’t behave like a unicorn at all. He simply always says "No!" to everything, so his family soon starts calling him the uNOcorn. One day, the blissfully happy, snuggly, cotton-candy world becomes too much for the uNOcorn. So, he promptly trots off - to nowhere - always guided by the motto: for heaven’s sake, no adventures! Along his journey, he meets new, equally headstrong companions - and suddenly being stubborn becomes twice as much fun, so that an adventure might not sound so bad after all.

The feature film is directed by Johannes Weiland and written by book author Marc-Uwe Kling. It is produced by Uwe Schott and Nicole Kellerhals, with the involvement of X Filme Creative Pool, Studio Soi, and Warner Bros. Film Production Germany.

Expected in theaters nationwide on January 1, 2027, here's a promo:
