The anime From Far Away debuts in October

The anime from the shojo manga (intended primarily for a female audience) From Far Away debuting in October. Watch the teaser and information below.

On her way home from school one day, Noriko is unexpectedly plunged into a strange and extraordinary fantasy world. Her troubles compound exponentially when she is rescued and befriended by a handsome young man by the name of Izark.
He may be brave and courageous, but inside Izark lurks the darkest evil imaginable. And according to an ancient prophecy, Noriko possesses the power to unleash that evil. Now, inexorably bound together, these two unlikely allies must navigate a world both wondrous and hostile.

From Far Away (originally Kanata Kara) is a manga by Kyouko Hikawa that ran in the LaLa magazine from 1991 to 2002. Studio DEEN will adapt the series into animation.

The series is directed by Noriyuki Abe (Bleach, Flame of Recca, GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka), with Rika Takasugi in charge of the scripts, Eiji Abiko responsible for the character designs, and Takeshi Hama composing the music.

The anime will premiere at midnight on October 4 (actually on the 5th) on the Tokyo MX channel and then on other networks.
