Madhouse presents the original anime film Ghost: End of Night

The new anime film produced by Madhouse and distributed by Bandai Namco Filmworks is titled Ghost - End of Night and will hit theaters in February. Watch the first promo below.

I want to know what is "real".
Set in the near future where labor is no longer necessary, this is the story of Neekei, a girl who continues seeking the “real” while resisting the order of a content society.

The new film produced by the prestigious Japanese studios Madhouse is an original work written and directed by Shingo Natsume (One-Punch Man, Sonny Boy, Space Dandy), with original designs by mangaka Natsume Ono (Ristorante Paradiso, House of Five Leaves, Not Simple) and animated adaptation by Norifumi Kugai.

This film marks the debut of an original work for director Natsume and the debut of a soundtrack by musician Ohzora Kimishima.

The director stated regarding the film that he is aiming for "a work that could be called fictional but is in tune with our current time and seeks realism".

Ghost - End of Night (orig. ghost/yoru no hate) will be released in Japanese theaters on February 11, 2027 and adapted into a manga by artist himiko starting next August in Kadokawa's "Young Ace" magazine.
