First trailer for Takayuki Hirao's anime film Wasted Chef

Expected next year, CLAP's anime film Chef Wasted has been released with a trailer and initial information. Find everything below.

Wasted Chef is the new original project by Takayuki Hirao and studio CLAP. Hirao will also be the director and screenwriter, and together with designer Shingo Adachi and composer Kenta Matsukuma he reunites the team behind Pompo: The Cinéphile (2021).

A young chef chasing a lost flavor lands in a ruined city without taste. Saved by Kasumi, his cooking awakens forgotten memories. But a dark force threatens to erase all desire - making his quest the last hope to save both worlds.

The anime film will be completed in 2027, while the manga adaptation, illustrated by Aero05, will be published in Japan few days in Kadokawa's "Young Ace" magazine.

Announced in 2023 and presented as an ongoing project at Annecy, here is the first promo and visual:
