French features In Waves and Iron Boy acquired by Netflix and Sony
After screening at the latest Cannes Film Festival, the two French feature films In Waves and Iron Boy have been acquired for international distribution.
In Waves is directed by Phuong Mai Nguyen and produced by Silex Films.
In the story, the protagonist meets Kristen in high school. Kristen loves surfing. When illness turns Kristen's life upside down, they face adversity with dignity, sharing their passion for surfing and the ocean.
The film, based on the graphic novel by AJ Dungo, will be released in French theaters on July 1, having premiered at Cannes and Annecy and then distributed outside France on Netflix.

The Corset (internationally Iron Boy) is directed by Louis Clichy and based on his childhood in the French countryside. Co-written by Clichy and Franck Salomé, it is produced by Eddy Cinema.
Christophe, a 10-year-old boy with balance problems, navigates life wearing a brace while his struggling family farm undergoes modernization. Torn between independence and mending ties with his distant father, he ponders his future.
Expected in French theaters on October 14, it has been acquired by Sony Pictures Classic for North and South America, India, and Asia.
