Hong Kong film Another World hits U.S. theaters

The feature film directorial debut ok Tommy NG Kai Chung, width Another World after Annecy arrives in U.S. theaters.

After several animated shorts, artist Tommy NG Kai Chung presents his directorial debut: Another World, created at the Hong Kong studios Point Five Creations and produced in conjunction with Silver Media Group and veteran Chan Gin Kai.

The film marks the return to Annecy, where it premiered last year, of a title that has been produced in Hong Kong for over two decades.

In the story a spirit guide in the afterlife realm helps souls reach reincarnation. When he meets a young girl whose anger threatens to turn her into a monster, he must save her while learning about human emotions.

Released in domestic theaters last November, North American distributor GKIDS will bring it to the States from June 5 with original dialogue in Cantonese and English subtitles.
