Girls und Panzer das Finale's 5th anime film in October
The fifth of six anime films, Girls und Panzer das Finale, will be released in Japanese theaters this fall. Info and promo below.
The Girls und Panzer franchise is preparing to conclude its final film cycle after the 12-episode 2012 anime created by Actas, which launched a success that has been followed by numerous other works in print and animated form, as well as spin-offs.
The franchise's story begins with Miho Nishizumi, the youngest child in a family of great lineage, experts in tanks and the martial art of Sensha-do. Enrolled in Oarai High School, the young girl is encouraged by the school and her friends to participate in the Sensha-do championship and tank battles.
The six-film theatrical finale began in December 2017 with the first film, followed by the second in June 2019, the third film in March 2021, and the fourth film in October 2023.
The fifth film is expected in Japanese theaters from October 9 and will also be the first to be screened in Dolby Cinema.
