Coyote vs. ACME - Tomorrow the official trailer

The legendary Warner Bros. characters, the unfortunate yet ingenious Coyote and the speedy Road Runner Beep Beep, star in the hybrid film Coyote vs. ACME. While we wait for the trailer, here's a teaser.

The events behind the film Coyote vs. ACME are well known. After being completed in 2023, the film was canceled and risked never being released if Ketchup Entertainment hadn't reached an agreement with Warner Bros. to acquire it entirely.

But the trouble began during the production phase. The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay had been hired as producer in 2018, Jon and Josh Silberman as screenwriters, and Dave Green as director. In 2019, the Silbermans were replaced as writers and became producers, only to leave production again the following year to return to the revised script along with Samy Burch, Jeremy Slater, and James Gunn, while McKay left the project.

Filming began in 2022, starring John Cena, ACME lawyer, Will Forte, Coyote's lawyer, Lana Condor, and P.J. Byrne.

The animations were created by Double Negative studios using 3D models finalized in 2D to remain as faithful as possible to the originals. The animators were assisted by sketch artists created using classic animation, drawing inspiration from classics such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), Space Jam (1996), and the two Looney Tunes films (2003-2021).

The story has been described as "David versus Goliath - Wile E. Coyote's persistence in the face of the callous and uninhibited cruelty of capitalism and the corporate greed of the ACME Corporation".

Expected in US theaters from August 28, the official trailer will be released tomorrow. Today, we leave you with a brief introduction by Will Forte and some scenes:
