Trailer for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime 2nd film

Sony Pictures has announced the release of the second film of the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime. Below you can find the trailer and the release date.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea (orig. Gekijou-ban Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Soukai no Namida-hen) is the second film in the long-running franchise born from the light novel written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah, which was later turned into a manga by Taiki Kawakami.

The film is set after the celebration of the foundation of the Tempest Federation, with Elmesia, the ruler of the elf nation of Sarion, inviting Rimuru and other senior Tempest officials to vacation at a resort island in Sarion. Rimuru and the others enjoy their short vacation, but with the appearance of a mysterious girl named Yura as well as a looming darkness, it seems Rimuru must confront a new threat.

Produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks, with animation by 8-Bit studios and the return of the entire cast from the television anime, the soundtrack includes "Utopia" by TRUE, actress Saori Onishi (voice of Yura) singing "Sokoku," Arcana Project singing "Renaino," and Stereo Dive Foundation featuring Ash Da Hero on the song "Harmonics."

Released in Japan on February 27th, international distribution rights were acquired by Crunchyroll, with Sony Pictures (owner of the platform) bringing it to theaters on May 1st.
