The Argentine series La Huella del Oro lands on HBO Max
It's Cartoon Network Latinoamérica's first adult animated series, coming to the HBO Max platform in a few days. We'll introduce it to you below.
La Huella del Oro (The Gold Footprint) is an original animated series created by Daniel Duche based on the short film Furia Estival, which he directed and released in 2021.
Produced by CN LA Original Productions in collaboration with Puño Robot and Enzo Ruso Films, the series follows the adventures of Fafner, a mercenary on the trail of gold coins that will lead him to his destiny. Over the course of the half-hour episode, Fafner battles ice giants and sea monsters, blurring the lines between good and evil as he searches for fragments of his past.
The series features no dialogue, with only narration and a powerful soundtrack that reflect the protagonist's inner thoughts. It's a poignant philosophical critique of power, morality, and the superficiality of the modern world.
It will be distributed within the Adult Swim block of Cartoon Network, currently intended for South American countries on HBO Max Latinoamerica in Spanish and Portuguese starting April 13.
