The road to art in the anime Eren the Southpaw
The new anime Eren La Mancina based on the manga of the same name will arrive in April. Below you will find the info and a new promo.
Halfway through high school, everyone begins to seriously consider their future. Koichi Asakura, who aspires to attend an art school to become a designer, is shocked one day by graffiti scrawled on the wall of an art museum. The artist is Ellen Yamagishi, a left-handed high school student whose talents have been suppressed since a certain incident. The two eventually come to recognize each other through drawing, and Koichi embarks on his path to becoming a designer, while Ellen embarks on her path to becoming a painter.
Kappi and Nifuni's manga, Hidarikiki no Eren (Eren the Southpaw), was first published online in 2016 and then in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ the following year, concluding in 2022. It has already inspired a live-action series and is now being adapted into an anime by the prestigious studios Production I.G and Signal.MD.
The project is directed by Toshimasa Suzuki, while Taku Kishimoto is in charge of the scripts. The character designs are by Yuka Fukuchi and Akane Tamai (also lead animators), and Takayuki Got (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society) is in charge of character animation.
Awaited on Japanese channel TV Tokyo from April 7, here is the trailer that shows us the opening track "Funkin' Beautiful feat. ZORN" by ALI and the closing track "New Walk" by Ima Murasaki:
