Animusic Weekend: Spirit Jumper

Our regular weekend appointment with music and animation, Animusic, today brings us a song Spirit Jumper by Spktra and its special video clip.

Electronic music producer and composer Spktra embarks on a commendable undertaking: learning to make, produce, and direct an animated short. After releasing the song Spirit Jumper in 2020, he spent five years creating the accompanying music video.

The final product is a masterful piece of craftsmanship crafted with classic 2D animation and narrated without dialogue.

"I always had it in my head that I didn’t want it to feel like animated stuff happening while music plays behind it", Spktra tells us, "if you turned the music off, (the video) it should still tell a story".
