The series Tales from Outer Suburbia from Australia

An interesting new animated series comes from Australia and is titled Tales from Outer Suburbia. Check out the trailer below.

Tales from Outer Suburbia is the animated series based on the illustrated books by Shaun Tan, who also serves as creative director, directed by Noel Cleary and produced at Flying Bark (What If...?) studios. The first season will consist of 10 22-minute episodes.

Presented last June at the last Annecy Film Festival, the series follows Klara and her brother Pim as they move to the suburbs with their mother Lucy and discover that their new neighborhood is much more than meets the eye. As Pim and Klara navigate the quiet mysteries of everyday life and adventures filled with surprising and bizarre encounters, they must learn to support each other as a family and discover their place in this ever-changing world.

Expected to premiere on January 1 on the Australian channel ABC iview and then on ABC Family, there is currently no news on a release for other markets.
