The anime film 100 Meters on New Year's Eve on Netflix

Good news for all anime fans. The anime film 100 Meters - Hyakuemu will be arriving on the popular platform in a few weeks.

The story's protagonist is Togashi, a predestined, born to run. As a child, naturally gifted, he wins every 100-meter race effortlessly. But in sixth grade, he meets Komiya, a transfer student full of determination but lacking technique. By teaching him, Togashi gives Komiya a new purpose: to win, no matter what. Years pass, Togashi and Komiya meet again as rivals on the track and reveal their true natures.

100 Meters (orig. Hyakuemu) manga by Uoto published since 2018 is becoming an anime thanks to the Tokyo based studios Rock 'n' Roll Mountain and the production of Pony Canyon, TBS TV and ASMIK.

The film is directed by Kenji Iwaisawa (ON-GAKU: Our Sound). The character designer and chief animator director is Keisuke Kojima, the art director is Keikankun Yamaguchi and the music composer is Hiroaki Tsutsumi.

After its world premiere on June 12th in Annecy, the film was released in Japanese theaters on September 19th and will be available on Netflix from December 31st.
