The second Super Mario movie goes into space: Galaxy

Nintendo and Illumination have released the first images and the title of the sequel to Super Mario Bros. The Movie. Promo and poster to follow.

The sequel's title was revealed a few hours ago: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

Aside from the logo and a presentation video, only the cast has been confirmed so far: Chris Prat (Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (Toad), and Kevin Michael Richardson (Kamek). New cast members will be announced soon.

On the technical side, the cast also appears to be confirmed, with Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic directing, Matthew Fogel writing, and Christopher Meledandri for Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto for Nintendo producing.

While awaiting further information on the story, the only confirmation at the moment is the release date: April 2026 worldwide.
