The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants in theaters this Christmas

The new adventure of the world's most famous sea sponge, SpongeBob, and his friends, arrives in theaters this Christmas. Find the first official trailer below.

SpongeBob and his Bikini Bottom pals set sail on their biggest, all-new, and unmissable cinematic adventure ever. Driven by the desire to prove to everyone, especially Mr. Krabs, that he has the heart of a true hero, SpongeBob sets out on the trail of the Flying Dutchman, a legendary ghost pirate. Thus begins an adventure of monsters, pirates, and laughter, which will drag him to the darkest depths of the ocean... where no sponge has ever dared to set foot.

The SpongeBob Movie: Search For SquarePants is made using various animation techniques and some live-action scenes, directed by Derek Drymon and written by Pam Brady, Marc Ceccarelli and Stephen Hillenburg, produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios and Paramount Animation, with animation by Reel FX Creative Studios, puppetry by the legendary Jim Henson's Creature Shop and special effects by FuseFX.
