Awajima Hyakkei - the school of opera in anime by Madhouse

The work Awajima Hyakkei is becoming a television anime and will debut in 2026. Below are the first information and a promo video.

Takako Shimura's Awajima Hyakkei (Scenes From Awajima) manga has been running on the PocoPoco website since 2011 and follows the girls of an opera school, with each chapter focusing on a different girl.

The television anime is in production at Madhouse, directed by Morio Asaka (Chihayafuru, NANA, Galaxy Angel), with characters designed by Kunihiko Hamada (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Chihayafuru, NANA), scripts by Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Chained Soldier, Shy, My Love Story With Yamada-kun at Lv999), art direction by Hideki Nakamura (INU-OH film, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway film, Inuyashiki Last Hero), and music composed by Takahiro Obata (Cinderella Nine, The Promised Neverland, SHOSHIMIN: How to become Ordinary).
