A Star Brighter Than the Sun anime coming in october

A school love story for the protagonists of the anime A Star Brighter Than the Sun, expected in their homeland next winter.

A Star Brighter Than the Sun (orig. Taiyo Yori mo Mabushii Hoshi) is the title of the anime based on the manga of the same name by Kazune Kawahara produced at Studio KAI, directed by Aya Kobayashi, with the screenplay by Yasuhiro Nakanish, character designs by Jinfeng Zeng and music composed by Natsumi Tabuchi and Miki Sakurai.

Published in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine since 2021, the story features Sae Iwata, an older than average girl who is shy about her height, and her childhood friend Koki, who was skinny as a child but grew up to be a handsome boy. The young girl thought they had drifted apart, but during the last middle school sports festival they reunited. Now, in high school, Sae realizes that she has feelings for him but also that she is not the only one interested in her friend.

The premiere is expected in October on the Japanese channel TBS.
