Sony Pictures studios present a new fantastic comedy mixed between animation and live-action directed by the brilliant former Blue Sky Studios artist.
The Brazilian director Carlos Saldanha, leading artist of the studios for which he write and directed blockbusters such as Ice Age, Robots, Rio, Ferdinand, after the acquisition and closure by Disney, Sony Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation return to the house for the hybrid feature film Harold and the Purple Crayon.

Written by David Guion and Michael Handelman, the film is based on the 1955 book of the same name in which the adventurous Harold can make anything come to life simply by drawing it. After he grows up and draws himself off the book's pages and into the physical world, Harold finds he has a lot to learn about real life - and that his trusty purple crayon may set off more hilarious hijinks than he thought possible. When the power of unlimited imagination falls into the wrong hands, it will take all of Harold and his friends' creativity to save both the real world and his own.

Zachary Levi plays the protagonist Harold, alongside Lil Rel Howery, Benjamin Bottani, Jemaine Clement, Tanya Reynolds, Alfred Molina and Zooey Deschanel.

In theaters around the world from August, here is the trailer:
