Farewell to the father of Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump Akira Toriyama

Read...
Lately as per practice in Japan, the death of the great author and mangaka Akira Toriyama was announced about a week ago.
At just 68 years old, due to a serious subdural hematoma, an author who left an indelible mark on paper, animated and other productions throughout the world leaves us.

Born on April 5, 1955 in Aichi, Japan, Akira Toriyama graduated in industrial design and immediately stood out by winning a comics competition with Wonder Island.

Then followed by great titles such as Dr. Slump and the one that made him known throughout the world, Dragon Ball, together with others such as Sand Land (whose a new feature film was produced last summer), Blue Dragon, Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger and more.

The funeral will be held privately but his Bird Studio has announced memorial services in some form in the future.
