The Cuphead Show! - Nostalgia for the animations of the last century

Read...
Introduced two years ago at Annecy, the animated series The Cuphead Show! is finally ready to hit the streaming platform.
The series is created by Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, creators of the original characters, and inspired by the 2017 video game Cuphead which brings back the techniques of animation and the design of the animated industry of a century ago.

The 12 episodes of about 12 minutes each of the first season will follow the misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his brother Mugman as they scour their surreal homeworld of the Inkwell Islands in search of fun and adventure. A mix of nostalgic and amusing gags between the protagonists and the unfortunates they encounter, including the devil himself ready to tempt them.

Produced by Netflix Animation, King Features and the same Canadian studio where the video game was developed, Studio MDHR, among the producers figure Dave Wasson, Emmy and Annie Award-winner (Mickey Mouse Shorts) while directing the episodes is Adam Paloian (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Emmy-winner Clay Morrow (Mickey Mouse shorts, Kick Buttowski).

The series will be released on the streaming platform in a month, on February 18th.
