Yes, the characters and stories of the late Akira Toriyama are turning 40. Watch the Dragon Ball 40th Anniversary Special Video below.

Toei presents Dragon Ball 40th Anniversary Special Video, a long video composed of manga pages, 2D animations, and even CG. The video was created by Toei Animation, directed by Naoki Miyahara, with CG scenes directed by Kai Makino and 2D scenes directed by Chikashi Kubota, and the theme "Infinite Future" composed by the great Hans Zimmer.

The animation was completed with a strong focus on faithfully translating the textures and colors of Akira Toriyama’s illustrations into motion, resulting in dynamic visuals that express Son Goku’s growth and journey.

At the end of the video, the announcement of the new anime in the Dragon Ball Super - The Galactic Patrol franchise also comes.
