The animated feature film inspired by the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell has found a distribution for American theaters.
The person who decided to adapt it into an animated feature film was the multifaceted Andy Serkis, actor, motion-capture expert (his are the trilogies of The Lord of the Rings and the last saga of The Planet of the Apes) and director, as well as producer for this film with his label Imaginarium together with Aniventure.

Written by Nick Stoller, with Woody Harrelson and Matt Reeves executive producers, Animal Farm follows a group of farm animals who rebel against their human owners and take over the farm, only to face new challenges under the rule of a cunning pig named Napoleon. As their troubles escalate, the animals discover that revolution is just the beginning, and must find the courage to stand up to Napoleon and save Animal Farm.

Animal Farm is a novel by George Orwell first published in 1945, considered one of the best texts of the last century.

The animations are instead handled by Cinesite which offers a very high level of quality, at least from the first images.

The original voice cast includes Seth Rogen (Napoleon), Gaten Matarazzo, Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close, Laverne Cox, Kieran Culkin, Woody Harrelson, Jim Parsons, Andy Serkis, Kathleen Turner and Iman Vellani.

After being presented at several festivals (Annecy, Zurich, Mill Valley, BFI London), the film will be released in US theaters by Angel on May 1st.
