A new anime series expected later this month comes with the first trailer. It's titled Yasuke and you can find it below.
The historical setting tells a true story that has as its protagonist an African slave called Yusufe, activated in Japan during the Sengoku war, where he is renamed Yasuke. Here a powerful feudal lord, impressed by the young man, recruits him into his army. Yasuke will therefore become a samurai and then, once decayed and without a master, a ronin who will find himself defending a mysterious child.

Featuring animations produced by MAPPA Studio, the anime is produced by the American musician Flying Lotus, also author of the soundtrack, and created and directed by LeSean Thomas (Children of Ether, Cannon Busters, The Boondocks), with character design by Takeshi Koike (Redline).

The series will be available from April 29 on Netflix.
