Listeners - A new anime between Rock and Sci-Fi
An interesting new project that comes directly from Japan is the anime titled Listeners, whose protagonist is a girl with a jack port on her back. Below the first animations.
The "great adolescent symphony" is set in a world where nothing called "music" exists. Humans are scared of mysterious lifeforms known as Miminashi (literally, no ears), and the only people who can stand up to the Miminashi are "Prayers" (literally, those who pray in offering) who can Plug In and pilot "Equipment" combat mecha.

The project was born from the musician Jin, from the author Dai Sato (Eureka Seven, Wolf's Rain, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop) and Taichi Hashimoto (Revisions). The anime will be directed by Hiroaki Ando, with the character design by Shinpei Kamada and the direction of the animations by Hatsue Koizumi and Shuuji Takahara. The music department instead sees producer JIN and composer L!Th!Um.

With the animations produced by studio MAPPA, the series will air on April on MBS, TBS and BS-TBS channels.
