Japanese director Keiichi Hara (Miss Hokusai, Colorful) is back with a new anime Birthday Wonderland. Below the new and complete original trailer.
Co-produced by Warner Bros. Japan, the film of the Annecy winner director will be one of the most anticipated films of 2019.
Inspired to 1988 book for children by Sachiko Kashiwaba, the story is about the young Akane, a girl with little esteem of herself whose life will be overturned by an important mission to save the world that will be entrusted by a mysterious alchemist. A journey that will take her to the magical world of Wonderland, where the girl will have to prove she is up to the task.
With the script written by Miho Maruo and the characters and visuals by Russian artist Ilya Kuvshinov, Birthday Wonderland is slated to open in Japan on April 26.
