Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, January 24, 1965, he is a Brazilian animator, director and producer.
With the development of 3D computer graphics, he moved from Brazil to the USA to study at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. Here he meets the director Chris Wedge who invites him to his new studios: Blue Sky Studios.
After experiences in commercials, he moved to the role of co-director in the first feature films produced by the studios. He is known to the general public for being the director of blockbuster such as Ice Age 2 - The Meltdown and Ice Age 3 - Dawn of the Dinosaurs, but he began as co-director of The Ice Age and Robots and director of the short Gone Nutty.
